Other than the pocket-sized HM-TA1, Panasonic also brings the HDC-SDX1, the world’s lightest Full HD digital camcorder with an ultra compact body and a weight just under 0.41lbs.
Compare to the HM-TA1, the HDC-SDX1 is a more advanced camcorder featuring a 35.8mm wide angle lens with 23x Intelligent Zoom, HYBRID Optical Image Stabilization system (O.I.S.) offering optical and electrical hand-shake correction, Intelligent Auto (iA) mode, Face Recognition, Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Selector and Intelligent Contrast Control.
The Panasonic HDC-SDX1 records 1920×1080 Full HD video in AVCHD MPEG4 format and supports Apple iFrame video format. It comes with a 2.7-inch LCD display and a SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot. The Full HD camcorder can also double as a Web camera with built-in capabilities for Internet video calling. HDC-SDX1 will be available in black in September 2010 for $499.95.
